Hey there! I’m Claire. I’m so glad you are here!
I am a follower of Jesus, wife to my best friend + high school sweetheart, Caleb, and bio+foster adoptive mama to 2 precious kiddos.
I was born and raised in upstate SC, where we still live today. Though I grew up in more of the suburbs, I learned early on that I am a country girl at heart. My favorite place to visit was my grandparents’ farm in western NC, where my dad grew up. My mom made homemade bread, milled flour, gardened and canned, and taught me to do the same.
My family and I live on 5 acres where we grow elderberry, raise chickens, and run a cottage business with homemade products.
My perfect day would involve hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains and finding a good creek, driving back country roads with bluegrass music, and exploring a quaint little mountain town with a coffee shop.
I feel most at home in the kitchen. I love cooking my family meals from scratch, milling my own flour, making bread, and canning.
I am passionate about cooking from scratch and natural living as God intended and I love teaching others how to do the same. Thanks for being here!
More about our elderberry farm
We are the first (up and coming!) organically-grown elderberry farm in upstate SC and look forward to supplying elderberry and herbal products from our very own farm!
While our plants are still maturing, we source quality organic elderberry for our syrup kits and other products.
The back story to elderberry: One winter several years ago, Caleb and I both got really sick. We felt absolutely miserable and it lasted for several weeks. After it had passed, we talked with friends who introduced us to elderberry syrup! So sure enough, we started buying elderberry syrup, then making it, then growing it, then committing our whole little endeavor towards it. It’s that good! Elderberry is incredible medicine. We are so excited to be the first elderberry farm in the upstate and the second in the state of South Carolina.
